We are looking for a motivated Policy Manager to join our association in Brussels.
The selected candidate will mainly work on EU policy developments carrying out policy analysis and awareness raising towards the EU institutions on the themes that Agroecology Europe focuses on, such as agriculture, nature restoration, soil pollution and climate change mitigation and adaptation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor or Master’s (preferred) degree in European studies, political science, environmental science, agronomy, agricultural economics.
● Minimum 5 years of experience in EU public affairs, EU policy formulation and implementation, EU funded projects.
● Strong interest in and knowledge of agroecology and sustainable food systems.
● Experience in networking and stakeholder interaction and management.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
● High computer literacy.
● Authorised to work in Belgium.
Contract information:
- 2 years with the first contract covering 6 months.
- 80% or 100% contract.
- Preferred start date: May 2025
