On the 12th of January 2021, the Dutch team of Agroecology Europe (Voedsel Anders Nederland and Toekomstboeren) organised an introductory webinar on agroecology.
125 people listened to the talkshow featuring five inspiring farmers and activists from the Netherlands, who each put agroecology into practice in their own way: Alies Fernhout, Doetie Trinks, Jolke de Moel, Kees van Veluw and Piet van IJzendoorn.
All five guests gave a small insight into their initiative. We discovered the added value of agroecology, a way of agriculture that can enrich nature and the lives of farmers and citizens. But also the challenges, especially the fight for land and the shortcomings of our economic system. What is agroecology and what does it look like in practice?
