MSc Agroecology – Organic Agriculture (Double degree programme ISARA Lyon, France – Wageningen University, The Netherlands) www.agroecology.fr
In the the master course, students will get the opportunity to understand structure and function of complex agroecosystems. They will learn to apply systems approaches in studying, designing and evaluating (agricultural) systems and food production chains, and to develop creative solutions for sustainable farming and marketing of organic or other quality products. The program teaches a multidisciplinary approach in which natural science is combined with social science. It is aimed at international students with a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and agroecosystem management. EUR-Organic: European Master in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems (Aarhus University, Denmark – University of Hohenheim, Germany – University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria – Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland – ISARA, Lyon, France) http://www.eur-organic.eu/
A comprehensive and integrative education in all areas of organic farming, as well as the processing and commercialization of organic food is offered by five leading European universities. The core of EUR-Organic is comprised of areas of specialisation that enable the students to profit from the different foci of organic agriculture teaching and research of the partner universities. A specialisation in agroecology is offered at one of the partner universities, but agroecology plays an important role in many modules taught at the different universities.
